If you know me very well, you know that I LOVE Blue Baker Cookies. I discovered The Blue Baker about 9 years ago at the Meeting Planner Expo in Bryan. They had a booth at the expo and gave out cookie samples. I was addicted to their chocolate chip pecan cookies from the first bite! The next time I came to College Station, we went there for lunch - they make all their own homemade breads and brick oven pizzas.
Fast forward 3 years to my pregnancy - I craved these cookies and made Billy eat Blue Baker after every monthly doctor's visit. A few times when nothing would do but mexican food, I still made Billy take me to Blue Baker for a cookie for dessert. After I had Kaitlin, Billy went to run an errand and brought me back a dozen Blue Baker cookies - forget the roses - he knew exactly what I would want. (I did share with my visitors for the record!)
I exhibit in this expo every year and I would be lying if I didn't admit that the highlight of the show for me is tracking down the Blue Baker booth for a cookie. Today was this year's tradeshow and to my delight we were two booths away from Blue Baker! I did really well only eating one the entire day...did I mention they are the size of hub caps and one is equivalent to 3 regular sized cookies?! Shamefully, I had a co-worker swipe a second one to bring home to Kaitlin and I sweet talked them into a box of their leftovers to take my nephew, Zach, & his roommates.
If you are ever in Bryan or College Station (they have two locations) don't miss the opportunity to eat at Blue Baker's. Kaitlin and I have had several Mommy dates there and her favorite is the Tomato Soup filled bread bowl & a COOKIE! Bon Apetite :)
