One of my main goals of a blog is to hopefully capture some of the "Kaitlinisms" that we encounter on a regular basis, so I can remember them some day. Fall is a very BUSY time for us with school and Kaitlin's activities. We have Cheerleading practice on Tues/Thurs and Tumbling on Wednesday nights, and Saturday mornings are reserved for peewee football games, not cartoons.
Kaitlin & I make the most of our time in the car- discussing highs and lows of the day, practicing spelling words, making animals out of clouds, etc. I thought I would share Wednesday night's conversation on the way to tumbling with you.
"Mom, I really wish I knew what God looked like." " Yeah, I know Kaitlin, but that is why it is called faith -because we can't see Him, we just have to know He is there." "Well, what do YOU think He looks like?" "Well the bible tells us that we are made in His image, so that tells us that He looks human like us." Then there was a LONG pause, so I could tell that she was really pondering this and then she said,........ " Well I really hope He has freckles like me!" Suddenly, I got this image of our supreme maker with freckles - couldn't help but smile & think that God was probably doing the same thing :)
