Three Girls, a Crush, and a Rock Concert

One of my bucket list items was to go to a Bon Jovi concert with one of my best friends - Jenifer.  Jenifer has a HUGE crush (borderline obsession) with Jon Bon Jovi.  Graduating in 1987, we grew up listening to the iconic rock  band, but I didn't become a big fan until the last 5 years.  I saw several shows on Oprah and saw what a great guy he was and learned of his Soul Foundation to help the poor and homeless.  I was smitten instantly!  To top it off I discovered he is still married to his high school girlfriend after all these years...Jon Bon Jovi is the real deal! 

I wanted to see him in concert, but in order to make my bucket list, I had to go with Jen, who adores him.  Of course that also meant that Shannon would need to come along.  I have known Shannon and Jenifer since the 6th grade and we remain best friends to this day.  When I am with them, I am always 16 again, giggling and silly, but they are also always the ones I can cry with and be myself. 

I wasn't really sure what a 40-something Mom wears to a rock concert these days so I decided to play it safe and wear dark jeans, black boots, and a black top.  Jenifer laughed out loud when I walked in....aparently we all 3 were clueless and took the same safe route...yes, we looked like we were trying to be back up singers - all 3 in dark jeans and black knit tops! 

The Apparently these 40 something Men were clueless on what to wear also, they decided retro 80s was the way to go ??!!  I couldn't resist a photo op with a guy in a Millie Vanillie Shirt, cutoffs, and topsiders! lol

The concert was AMAZING!!!  Jon is truly ageless and unlike some hard core rockers that look like 70 yr old has-beens, he is youthful and vibrant and in incredible shape...If we said he was HOT once, we said it a million times ;)

We had so much fun, good dinner at Masas Downtown, lots of giggles, and most importantly
we made a MEMORY!
